Lake Tahoe Wedding at Harvey’s

I recently had the pleasure of shooting Carl and Heather’s Tahoe Wedding at Harvey’s in South Lake. It was the first time I’ve seen the chapel there and I was pleasantly surprised, it’s a lovely location for an intimate wedding on a budget. It was really touching to see Karl’s son taking Heather to be his new mum, and vice versa – a really beautiful touch.

A quick trip down to the lake to shoot the wedding party in the usual 85^o+ heat that always seems to accompany every wedding I shoot between April and October, thankfully there was a nice breeze coming in off the lake to match the beautiful scenery up there.

Cadillac Chefs, September Event

Back at the fabulous Roundabout Bistro again. Did you know that they were recently hailed as on of the Top 10 Restaurants in Reno and Tahoe by AOL Travel? Nice one guys, your hard work and culinary genius continues to pay off!

Chef Colin Smith was providing his usual hallmark hospitality, a full bar, and endless killer tips for the kitchen.

So I thought that the Drunken Berries shoot was running quickly. With 8 dishes being prepared, and then finished, presented, photographed and eaten in 2 hours I think it’s the fastest I’ve ever worked, seriously. So it’s a big post this month with about twice as many photos than normal. I also think it’s the most food I’ve ever eaten too, ever, ever, ever. The problem is that it’s all TOO GOOD! 8 clean plates and a stomach that looked like it was with child for about 5 months

Catering by the Roundabout Bistro

Colin and Mary Beth from the Roundabout Bistro contacted me about getting some shots of the table designs and their great food for Breitling’s party at Historic Bartley Ranch during the Reno Air Races. As usual, Chef Colin Smith made my job really easy with plate after plate of AMAZING appetizers, and a big pile of slabs of grilling meat.

Mary Beth on the other hand designed some killer table settings, with real western character! Perfect for the location.

Me? I just ran around for a couple of hours snapping everything, poaching food, meeting great people -  including the one and only John Travolta, and the Canadian Snowbirds. Yup, I still have the best job in the world!

Drunken Berries, Cooking Classes

Oh, the Drunken Berries take over the Roundabout Bistro again. Deep breath… and time to shoot at 1,000 mph. These ladies get through prep faster every week and really keep me on my toes. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the food seems to be getter better too!

Chef Colin Smith provided the recipes, food and his extensive experience - the ladies cooked up some superb food and gave it their best shot at drinking the bar dry

Thanks guys, a lot of fun (as usual). Nights like these confirm that I have the best job in the world!
